The beach and point break at Polzeath in North Cornwall offers fairly consistent surf all year round and is fairly exposed. The best wind is offshore from the east, with some shelter here from northwest winds. The best swell direction is from the west and northwest, but a mixture of groundswells and windswells tend to occur here. Surfable lefts and rights at all tides can be found at the beach break. This is a popular spot. Make sure to watch out for dangerous rips.
Clean conditions are when there is no wind or an offshore breeze
Waves that have become too choppy due to a strong wind
Flat days are when the waves are too small to surf.
