Known for its fairly consistent surf, Bude is a beach break in North Cornwall that can be surfed any time of the year. The best wind direction is east. The area receives a mix of ground and wind swells, and the best swell direction is from the west. Right and left hand waves break on the beach. Tides have no effect on the quality of the surf. When working, it is likely to be crowded. Be cautious of rocks.
Clean conditions are when there is no wind or an offshore breeze
Waves that have become too choppy due to a strong wind
Flat days are when the waves are too small to surf.
